Allied Universal is hiring a Security Officer Enhanced Part Time Driver Incident Response in Birmingham, AL. This role offers a fixed part-time schedule with anchor shifts and opportunities to earn more via additional shifts.

You will support a healthcare setting, respond to incidents, manage access, and help maintain a secure, welcoming environment. A driver’s license and security experience are required.

Responsibilities

• Conduct regular and random patrols of healthcare facilities, parking areas, entrances, and surrounding perimeter.
• Assist with access control, visitor management, and directions while maintaining a professional presence.

Security Officer Enhanced Part Time Driver Incident Response

Pay Rate: $19.00 / Hour

Job Schedule

• Wed: 11:00 PM - 07:00 AM
• Thur: 11:00 PM - 07:00 AM

How This Role Works:

• Fixed-Shift Commitment ("Anchor Shifts"): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.
• Earn More, Claim‑A‑Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick‑up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part‑time hours this week and full‑time the next. It’s all up to you.

This role is ideal for candidates seeking part‑time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build‑up to a full‑time schedule of up to 40 hours per week; always with the option to scale back when needed.

Responsibilities:

• Provide customer service to patients, visitors, staff, and/or contractors by carrying out security‑related procedures, site‑specific policies, and appropriate emergency response activities in a healthcare setting.
• Respond to incidents, medical emergencies, disturbances, and other critical situations in a calm, professional, problem‑solving manner, following established site protocols.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of healthcare facilities, parking areas, entrances, and surrounding perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity and identify potential concerns.
• Assist with access control, visitor management, and directions while maintaining a professional presence and supporting a welcoming environment.
• Document incidents, observations, and completed activities accurately and promptly in accordance with site‑specific reporting procedures.

Minimum Requirements:

• Have at least one year of security‑related experience.
• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Be able to lift more than 20 pounds, preferred.
• Possess CPR and First Aid certification, preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
