Responsibilities

• Monitor entry and exit points at a location; verify credentials, authorize visitor access, and maintain access records.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem‑solving manner; communicate observations to site contacts and emergency responders.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of assigned areas, access points, and the perimeter to identify irregular conditions and support access procedures.
• Prepare clear, accurate reports and logs for access‑control events, incidents, and other security‑related observations.

As a Security Officer Enhanced Part Time Driver Entry Management in Elgin, TX, this role is designed to provide reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility for you to earn more by picking‑up additional shifts when it works for you.

Pay Rate: $17.22 / Hour

Job Schedule:

DayTimeTue10:00 PM - 06:00 AM

How This Role Works:

• Fixed-Shift Commitment ('Anchor Shifts'): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.


• Earn More, Claim-A-Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick‑up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part‑time hours this week and full‑time the next. It's all up to you.

This role is ideal for candidates seeking part‑time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build‑up to a full‑time schedule of up to 40 hours per week; always with the option to scale back when needed.

• Conduct regular and random patrols of assigned areas, access points, and the perimeter to help identify irregular conditions and support compliance with site access procedures.


• Prepare clear, accurate reports and activity logs for access‑control events, incidents, and other security‑related observations.

Minimum Requirements:

• At least one year of security‑related experience is required.


• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.


• A guard card/license is preferred.


• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.


• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.


• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.


• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.


• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.


• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
