You will manage entry points, verify badges and visitor access, monitor assigned areas, and provide exceptional customer service and communication to students, staff, and guests. Your visible presence will help deter security-related incidents while reflecting our agile, reliable, innovative, and people-first culture. This driving position requires a valid driver's license in accordance with AU Driver Policy requirements.

Position Type: Part Time

Pay Rate: $21.94 / Hour

Job Schedule:

• Mon: 10:30 AM - 07:00 PM
• Tue: 10:30 AM - 07:00 PM
• Wed: 10:30 AM - 07:00 PM

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to students, staff, visitors, and families by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, access-control protocols, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Monitor entry and exit points, verify credentials and visitor authorization, maintain visitor logs, and direct guests according to school procedures.
• Respond to incidents, access concerns, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, notifying appropriate school personnel and/or emergency responders as required.
• Help to deter unauthorized access by observing activity at assigned access points and reporting suspicious activity, policy violations, or facility concerns.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of school buildings, grounds, parking areas, and perimeter areas, while maintaining awareness of changing site conditions.

Minimum Requirements:

• A valid driver's license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• A guard card or license is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
