Job summary

Allied Universal is hiring a Part-Time Security Officer Driver Alarm Panel Response in Columbus, OH. The role involves unarmed patrols at a retail location, monitoring areas, and providing customer service while responding to alarms and incidents.

You will work a part-time schedule with Saturday and Sunday 3:00 PM to 11:00 PM shifts, leveraging access control and alarm-panel experience to deter loss and ensure safety. A valid driver’s license and HS diploma are required.

Qualifications

• Minimum requirements include a valid driver’s license.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience are preferred.
• Alarm panel experience is preferred.
• CPR certification is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients, employees, and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures and site policies.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, professional manner.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the retail location including sales areas, entrances, stockrooms, and exterior areas.
• Monitor for unusual activity and report observations to site contacts.
• Document incidents and security-related concerns in accordance with site procedures.

Position Type: Part Time

Pay Rate: $18.50 / Hour

Job Schedule:

• Sat 03:00 PM - 11:00 PM
• Sun 03:00 PM - 11:00 PM

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to clients, employees, and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents, customer concerns, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the retail location, including sales areas, entrances, stockrooms, exterior areas, and perimeter.
• Monitor for unusual activity, policy violations, and potential loss-prevention concerns, and report observations to appropriate site contacts.
• Document incidents, patrol activities, and security-related concerns in accordance with site procedures.

Minimum Requirements:

• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Alarm panel experience is preferred.
• CPR certification is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
