Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients, employees, shoppers, and visitors by carrying out site-specific access-control procedures and policies.
• Monitor and control access points, verify credentials, maintain visitor logs, and direct authorized persons within the retail location.
• Respond to incidents and security concerns in a calm, problem-solving manner and notify site contacts or emergency responders when needed.
• Conduct regular patrols of entrances, employee areas, and perimeters to deter unauthorized access and report unusual activity.
• Document security-related activities per site procedures to support a welcoming retail environment.

As an Access Control Officer at a retail location, you will help create a welcoming environment by monitoring entry points, verifying access credentials, conducting routine patrols, and responding to security-related concerns. Pay Rate: $18.50 / Hour

Job Schedule:

• Thur 03:00 PM - 11:00 PM
• Fri 03:00 PM - 11:00 PM

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to clients, employees, shoppers, and visitors by carrying out site-specific access-control procedures, policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Monitor and control access points, verify credentials as required, maintain visitor logs, and direct authorized persons to appropriate areas within the retail location.
• Respond to incidents, access concerns, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, notifying appropriate site contacts and/or emergency responders when needed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of entrances, employee areas, sales-floor access points, and the surrounding perimeter to help deter unauthorized access and report unusual activity.
• Support a welcoming retail environment by providing clear directions, maintaining professional communication, and documenting security-related activities in accordance with site procedures.

Minimum Requirements:

• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• CPR certification is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Alarm panel experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
