Allied Universal is seeking a Part Time Dispatch Officer in San Jose, CA, to coordinate security-related communications, monitor activity, and support a welcoming environment for employees, visitors, and contractors. You’ll use dispatch tools to document requests, guide responders, and maintain logs while upholding site procedures and safety standards.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of security-related experience.
• Guard card or license preferred.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Background check in accordance with laws.
• Drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• License requirements per state/local laws.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and contractors by following site-specific procedures and security policies.
• Monitor dispatch communications, document service requests, and coordinate response of personnel for routine, urgent, and emergency situations.
• Respond to incidents calmly, escalate information to site leadership and emergency services as appropriate.
• Maintain accurate dispatch logs, incident reports, and activity records per site procedures.
• Monitor access-control systems, alarms, cameras, and other platforms; report unusual activity and deter unauthorized access.

Pay Rate: $27.15 / Hour

Job Schedule:
Tue 02:30 PM - 11:00 PM
Wed 10:30 PM - 07:00 AM
Thur 10:30 PM - 07:00 AM

What You’ll Do:

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and contractors at a technology, media, and telecommunications location by carrying out site-specific procedures and security-related policies.
• Monitor dispatch communications, receive and document service requests, and coordinate the response of appropriate personnel to routine, urgent, and emergency situations.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating information to site leadership and emergency services as appropriate.
• Maintain accurate dispatch logs, incident reports, and activity records in accordance with site procedures.
• Monitor access-control systems, alarms, cameras, and other communications platforms, reporting unusual activity and helping to deter unauthorized access.

Minimum Requirements:

• At least 1 year of security-related experience is required.
• A guard card or license is preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
