Allied Universal is seeking a Security Officer Enhanced Part Time Dispatch in Hattiesburg, MS. This position offers flexible, anchor shifts with opportunities to pick up extra shifts to increase earnings.

The pay rate is $15.50 per hour and the role includes dispatching security personnel, monitoring systems, and customer service at a university campus. The ideal candidate has at least one year of security experience, CPR is preferred, and a high school diploma or equivalent is required.

Qualifications

• At least one year of security-related experience is required.
• CPR certification is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• A guard card or license is preferred.
• Comfortably using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Background investigation will be conducted as a condition of employment.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applicants with criminal histories as allowed by law.
• A drug screen is required as a condition of employment.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to students, faculty, staff, and visitors by carrying out site-specific security procedures and emergency response activities.
• Receive and prioritize incoming calls, radio traffic, and service requests; dispatch security personnel to campus locations as needed.
• Monitor communication systems, alarms, cameras, and other equipment; report unusual activity and coordinate responses.
• Respond to incidents calmly and communicate information to campus personnel and responders.
• Maintain dispatch logs, incident records, and shift communications; coordinate regular and random patrols around campus.

As a Security Officer Enhanced Part Time Dispatch in Hattiesburg, MS, this role is designed to provide reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility for you to earn more by picking-up additional shifts when it works for you.

Pay Rate: $15.50 / Hour

Job Schedule:

DayTimeFri10:00 PM - 06:00 AM

How This Role Works:

• Fixed-Shift Commitment ("Anchor Shifts"): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.
• Earn More, Claim-A-Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick-up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part-time hours this week and full-time the next. It’s all up to you.

This role is ideal for candidates seeking part-time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build-up to a full-time schedule of up to 40 hours per week; always with the option to scale back when needed.

Responsibilities:

• Provide customer service to students, faculty, staff, and visitors by carrying out site-specific security-related procedures, policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Receive and prioritize incoming calls, radio traffic, and service requests; dispatch security-related personnel to campus locations as needed.
• Monitor communication systems, alarms, cameras, and other assigned equipment; report unusual activity and coordinate appropriate responses.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, communicating relevant information to campus personnel and emergency responders.
• Maintain accurate dispatch logs, incident records, and shift communications, and coordinate regular and random patrol activity around campus buildings and perimeter areas.

Minimum Requirements:

• At least one year of security-related experience is required.
• CPR certification is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• A guard card or license is preferred.
• Comfortably using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
