Allied Universal is seeking a Security Officer Part Time Customer Engagement in Chicago, IL. You will provide customer service to employees and visitors, conduct unarmed patrols, and monitor access points, helping deter incidents and support a secure environment.

Qualifications

• At least 1 year of security-related experience is required.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• Maintain a background check and drug screen as required by law.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and delivery personnel at a corporate technology office location by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of office spaces, lobbies, exterior areas, parking facilities, and perimeter locations to help identify and report unusual conditions or unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access points and support visitor management processes by verifying credentials, maintaining required logs, and directing guests in accordance with site procedures.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, communicating with appropriate site contacts and emergency responders as needed.
• Document patrol observations, incidents, and security-related concerns accurately and promptly in accordance with Allied Universal and site reporting requirements.

Pay Rate: $22.25 / Hour

Job Schedule:

• Thur 11:00 PM - 07:00 AM
• Fri 11:00 PM - 07:00 AM
• Sun 11:00 PM - 07:00 AM

What You'll Do:

Minimum Requirements:

• At least 1 year of security-related experience is required.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
