Allied Universal is hiring a Security Officer Part Time Access Verification Associate in Santa Fe Springs, CA. You will safeguard clients, verify credentials, manage entry points, monitor activity, and support a welcoming environment for employees, visitors, and deliveries.

Shifts are overnight, part-time (Wed and Thur). Minimum 2 years security experience and a HS diploma required; guard card/licence and CPR/First Aid preferred. Background checks and drug screening may apply.

Qualifications

• At least 2 years of security-related experience.
• Customer service experience preferred.
• Guard card or license preferred.
• CPR/First Aid certification preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet preferred.
• Age 18+ for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• Background check as a condition of employment.
• Drug screen as required by law.

Position Type: Part Time

Pay Rate: $19.00 / Hour

Job Schedule: Wed: 11:00 PM - 07:30 AM; Thur: 11:00 PM - 07:30 AM

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to clients, visitors, drivers, and/or employees by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a logistics and distribution location.
• Control access to the facility by verifying identification, credentials, delivery appointments, and/or visitor authorization in accordance with site procedures.
• Monitor and document the entry and exit of personnel, contractors, vendors, and delivery vehicles, directing authorized traffic to designated areas.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, promptly reporting observations and concerns to appropriate site contacts and/or Allied Universal leadership.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of access points, loading areas, parking areas, and the business perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.

Minimum Requirements:

• At least 2 years of security-related experience is required.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• A guard card or license is preferred.
• CPR and First Aid certification are preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
