Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Background investigation required by federal, state and local laws.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• Possession of a guard card, license or licensing may be preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients, drivers, visitors, and team members by carrying out security-related procedures and emergency response activities.
• Screen packages, shipments, personnel, and visitors according to site procedures, reporting prohibited or suspicious items.
• Monitor access points and verify credentials and delivery documentation; maintain screening and visitor records.
• Respond to incidents in a calm, problem-solving manner following escalation procedures.
• Conduct regular patrols of the facility to deter unauthorized activity and identify security concerns.

As a Security Officer Enhanced Part Time Credential Screening in New Castle, DE, this role is designed to provide reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility for you to earn more by picking-up additional shifts when it works for you.

Pay Rate: $17.67 / Hour

Job Schedule:

Sat 08:00 AM - 06:00 PM

How This Role Works:

• Fixed-Shift Commitment ("Anchor Shifts"): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.
• Earn More, Claim-A-Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick-up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part-time hours this week and full-time the next. It's all up to you.

This role is ideal for candidates seeking part-time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build-up to a full-time schedule of up to 40 hours per week; always with the option to scale back when needed.

Responsibilities:

• Provide customer service to clients, drivers, visitors, and team members by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Screen packages, shipments, personnel, and visitors in accordance with site procedures, reporting prohibited, damaged, or suspicious items and/or activity to the appropriate personnel.
• Monitor access points, verify credentials and delivery documentation, and maintain accurate screening and visitor records.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established escalation and reporting procedures.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of the distribution facility, loading areas, parking areas, and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.

Minimum Requirements:

• Loss prevention experience is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Possession of a guard card or license is preferred.
• A state, county, or city-issued license for security-related work is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
