Pay rate is $21.34 per hour and the role includes a fixed shift (Thurs 5:00 AM - 3:00 PM) with potential to scale up hours.

Qualifications

• One or more years of security-related experience preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet preferred.
• CPR and First Aid certification preferred.
• Guard Card or license preferred.
• Must be at least 18 years old for unarmed roles and 21+ for armed roles.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Background check and drug screen required by law and company policy.
• Licensing requirements may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to tenants, visitors, contractors, and employees by enforcing site-specific access-control procedures and emergency response activities.
• Monitor access points, verify credentials, maintain visitor logs, and direct authorized individuals per site requirements.
• Respond to access-control alarms, incidents, and critical situations calmly and report to leadership and site contacts.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of entrances, common areas, parking areas, and perimeter to identify unusual activity or unauthorized access.
• Document incidents and shift observations in required reports and communicate information to Allied Universal leadership.

As a Security Officer Enhanced Part Time Credential Audit in Franklin Park, IL, this role is designed to provide reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility for you to earn more by picking‑up additional shifts when it works for you.

Pay Rate: $21.34 / Hour

Job Schedule: Thur: 05:00 AM - 03:00 PM

How This Role Works:

• Fixed-Shift Commitment (“Anchor Shifts”): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.
• Earn More, Claim-A-Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick‑up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part‑time hours this week and full‑time the next. It’s all up to you.

This role is ideal for candidates seeking part‑time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build‑up to a full‑time schedule of up to 40 hours per week; always with the option to scale back when needed.

Responsibilities:

• Provide customer service to tenants, visitors, contractors, and/or employees by carrying out site‑specific access‑control procedures, policies, and emergency response activities at a commercial real estate location.
• Monitor access points, verify credentials and visitor authorizations, maintain visitor logs, and direct authorized individuals in accordance with site requirements.
• Respond to access‑control alarms, incidents, and critical situations in a calm, problem‑solving manner; notify appropriate site contacts and/or emergency responders as needed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of building entrances, common areas, parking areas, and the perimeter to identify and report unusual activity, unauthorized access attempts, or security‑related concerns.
• Document incidents, access‑control activities, and shift observations accurately in required reports and communicate relevant information to Allied Universal leadership and site representatives.

Minimum Requirements:

• One or more years of security‑related experience is preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• CPR and First Aid certification is preferred.
• A Guard Card or license is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
