Job summary

Qualifications

• At least 1 year of security-related experience.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• CPR and First Aid certification is preferred.
• A Guard Card or license is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• Must possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, subject to a background investigation.
• Criminal histories considered in compliance with laws.
• Drug screen required where permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to tenants, visitors, contractors, and/or employees by carrying out access-control procedures and policies.
• Monitor access points and credential systems, verify authorization for entry, and maintain visitor records.
• Control access by checking IDs, issuing temporary credentials, and directing guests.
• Respond to incidents and alarms; document observations and notify personnel.
• Conduct regular patrols to deter unauthorized activity.

Position Type: Part Time

Pay Rate: $20.00 / Hour

Job Schedule:

• Mon: 08:30 AM - 04:30 PM
• Tue: 08:30 AM - 04:30 PM

What You’ll Do:

• Provide customer service to tenants, visitors, contractors, and/or employees by carrying out access-control procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Monitor access points and credential systems, verify authorization for entry, and maintain accurate visitor, contractor, and delivery records in accordance with site procedures.
• Control access to commercial property areas by checking identification, issuing temporary credentials when authorized, and directing guests to appropriate locations.
• Respond to incidents, access-control alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner; document observations and notify appropriate personnel.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of the building, common areas, parking facilities, and perimeter to identify security-related concerns and help to deter unauthorized activity.

Minimum Requirements:

• Have at least 1 year of security-related experience.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• CPR and First Aid certification is preferred.
• A Guard Card or license is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
