Job summary

Allied Universal in San Jose, CA is seeking a Security Officer Part Time CPR Preparedness Patrol to help safeguard residents and visitors at a residential community. This role offers flexible scheduling via the Claim a Shift platform and opportunities to learn on the job.

As a Part-Time Patrol Officer you will monitor assigned areas, respond to incidents, and document observations while upholding a welcoming, secure environment.

Qualifications

• CPR/First Aid is preferred.
• A guard card or license is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Alarm panel experience is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

• Respond to incidents, resident concerns, access-related issues, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of residential buildings, common areas, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help identify and report unusual activity, property concerns, and policy violations.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity in accordance with site procedures, assisting with resident and guest entry as directed.
• Document observations, incidents, and patrol activities accurately and communicate relevant information to site management and Allied Universal leadership.
