Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking a Part-Time Security Officer for a Building Patrol role in Tempe, AZ. The position pays $19.00 per hour with a part-time schedule that includes weekend shifts and a late afternoon/evening pattern.

You will provide customer service, enforce site policies, monitor access points, and respond to incidents in a healthcare and pharmaceutical manufacturing setting. A Guard Card/licensing is preferred and a high school diploma is required.

Qualifications

• At least six months of security-related experience required.
• Guard Card or license preferred.
• 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and contractors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities in a healthcare/pharmaceutical manufacturing location.
• Respond to incidents, access concerns, alarms, and critical situations calmly and reporting requirements.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of facility buildings, production-adjacent areas, parking areas, and perimeter locations to identify unusual conditions and ensure site procedures.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity, verify credentials, and maintain logs and incident documentation.
• Communicate professionally with site personnel, visitors, and Allied Universal leadership regarding security observations and needs.

Pay Rate: $19.00 / Hour

Job Schedule:

• Sat: 01:30 PM - 05:30 PM


• Sun: 05:30 AM - 05:30 PM

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and contractors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities in a healthcare and pharmaceutical manufacturing location.


• Respond to incidents, access concerns, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established site protocols and reporting requirements.


• Conduct regular and random patrols of facility buildings, production-adjacent areas, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help identify unusual conditions and support compliance with site procedures.


• Monitor access points and visitor activity, verify credentials as required, and maintain accurate logs and incident documentation.


• Communicate professionally with site personnel, visitors, and Allied Universal leadership regarding security-related observations, incidents, and operational needs.

Minimum Requirements:

• At least six months of security-related experience is required.


• A Guard Card or license is preferred.


• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.


• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.


• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.


• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.


• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.


• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.


• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
