Qualifications

• At least two years of security-related experience.
• At least three years of combined law enforcement, military, and/or security-related experience or a college degree.
• Access control and badge experience preferred.
• Background check and drug screen required.
• Lifting up to 20 pounds may be required.
• Be at least 18 years old for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• High school diploma or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients, visitors, and personnel at a healthcare location.
• Respond to incidents and emergencies in a calm, professional manner following site protocols.
• Conduct regular unarmed patrols of buildings, labs, parking areas, and perimeters.

As an Unarmed Security Officer in a healthcare location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, support access control activities, and provide professional customer service and communication. You will help create a welcoming environment for patients, visitors, and staff while representing Allied Universal’s agile, reliable, innovative, and people-first culture through teamwork and integrity.

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to clients, visitors, and personnel at a healthcare location by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and appropriate emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents, medical emergencies, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established site protocols and notifying appropriate personnel.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of buildings, laboratories, parking areas, access points, and perimeter areas to help deter unauthorized activity and identify unusual conditions.
• Monitor access to designated areas, verify credentials as required, and report access-control concerns or suspicious activity to site leadership and/or emergency responders.
• Prepare clear, accurate incident reports and maintain detailed activity logs in accordance with Allied Universal and site-specific requirements.

Minimum Requirements:

• At least two years of security-related experience is required.
• At least three years of combined law enforcement, military, and/or security-related experience or a college degree is required.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Ability to lift up to 20 pounds is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
