Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to shoppers, tenants, visitors, and employees by following security procedures and site policies.
• Respond to incidents, concerns, and critical situations calmly and professionally.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the retail center, including common areas and exterior perimeter, to deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access points and observe activity; report unusual conditions and policy violations.
• Document incidents and communicate findings to Allied Universal leadership and site contacts.

Pay Rate: $25.50 / Hour

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to shoppers, tenants, visitors, and/or employees by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents, customer concerns, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the retail center, including common areas, parking areas, exterior perimeter, and tenant corridors, to help deter unauthorized activity and identify potential concerns.
• Monitor access points and observe activity throughout the location, reporting unusual conditions, maintenance concerns, and policy violations in accordance with site procedures.
• Document incidents, observations, and daily activities accurately and communicate relevant information to Allied Universal leadership and site contacts.

Minimum Requirements:

• Have at least 1 year of security-related experience.
• Preferred: Ability to lift more than 20 pounds.
• Preferred: Ability to ride a bike for long periods of time.
• Preferred: Possess a Guard Card or license.
• Preferred: Have alarm panel experience.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
