Allied Universal is seeking a Security Officer — Enhanced Part Time Bicycle Patrol in Corpus Christi, TX. This role offers flexible shifts with fixed anchor hours and opportunities to pick up additional shifts across sites, all while contributing to campus safety.

As a Security Officer Enhanced Part Time Bicycle Patrol in CORPUS CHRISTI, TX, this role is designed to provide reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility for you to earn more by picking‑up additional shifts when it works for you.

Pay Rate: $14.21 / Hour

DayTimeSat07:00 AM - 07:00 PM

How This Role Works:

• Fixed-Shift Commitment (“Anchor Shifts”): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.
• Earn More, Claim‑A‑Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick‑up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part‑time hours this week and full‑time the next. It’s all up to you.

This role is ideal for candidates seeking part‑time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build‑up to a full‑time schedule of up to 40 hours per week; always with the option to scale back when needed.

Responsibilities:

• Provide customer service to students, faculty, staff, visitors, and/or vendors by carrying out security‑related procedures, site‑specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents, campus concerns, and critical situations in a calm, problem‑solving manner, notifying appropriate campus personnel and/or emergency services as needed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of campus buildings, parking areas, walkways, and perimeter areas to help deter unauthorized activity and identify potential security‑related concerns.
• Monitor access points and observe activity throughout assigned areas, reporting suspicious behavior, facility issues, and policy violations according to site procedures.
• Complete required reports, maintain accurate activity logs, and communicate relevant information to supervisors and designated site contacts.

Minimum Requirements:

• Have at least 6 months of security‑related experience.
• Be able to ride a bicycle.
• Ability to ride a bicycle for long periods of time is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• A state, county, or city‑issued security‑related license is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
