As an Access Control Officer at a retail distribution center, you will manage entry points, verify credentials, monitor access activity, and help maintain an orderly environment. Position Type: Part Time

Pay Rate: $19.50 / Hour

1. Valid Driver's License
   • Candidates must possess a valid driver's license that meets the following criteria:
     • AU Driver Policy Requirements (C123): Candidates must provide proof of a valid driver's license, adhering to all relevant regulations and standards.
     • Valid Driver's License - In Job State (C124): Candidates must also ensure that their driver's license is valid in the state where the job is located.
2. Access Control/Badge Experience (B201)
   • Candidates should have prior experience with access control systems and badge management. This includes familiarity with security protocols and procedures related to employee access.
3. Comfortable Using Computer or Tablet (B204)
   • Candidates must demonstrate proficiency in using computers or tablets. This includes basic software applications, email communication, and any job-specific technology that may be required.
4. Customer Service Experience (B219)
   • Candidates should possess relevant customer service experience. This includes the ability to interact professionally with clients, resolve issues effectively, and maintain a positive company image.

• Sat: 01:00 PM - 09:00 PM
• Sun: 01:00 PM - 09:00 PM

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to clients, visitors, vendors, and delivery drivers while carrying out site-specific access control procedures, security-related policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
• Monitor and control access points for employees, contractors, visitors, and commercial vehicles entering and leaving the distribution location.
• Verify credentials, maintain visitor and vehicle entry records, issue temporary access credentials, and direct authorized personnel to designated areas.
• Respond to incidents, access concerns, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, escalating information according to site procedures.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of access points, loading areas, parking locations, and the surrounding perimeter, reporting unusual activity and facility concerns.

Minimum Requirements:

• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
