Job summary

Allied Universal® is seeking a Part-Time Security Officer for badge verification at a logistics and distribution site in Tualatin, Oregon. You will provide customer service to employees, drivers, visitors and vendors while enforcing site policies and safety procedures.

As an unarmed patrol officer, you will perform routine patrols, monitor access points, and maintain logs and reports, contributing to a safe and welcoming environment.

Qualifications

• Access Control/Badge experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Background check and Drug screen may be required by law.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, drivers, visitors, and vendors at a logistics and distribution location by carrying out security-related procedures and site policies.
• Respond to incidents, access concerns, vehicle traffic issues, and critical situations calmly following site protocols.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of the facility, loading areas, trailer yards, and perimeter to deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access points, verify authorized entry, and maintain logs and reports of daily activities and observations.
• Observe package handling areas for unusual activity and report concerns to site leadership and Allied Universal supervision.

Pay Rate: $19.50 / Hour

Job Schedule:

• Sat 08:00 AM - 04:00 PM
• Sun 08:00 AM - 04:00 PM

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to employees, drivers, visitors, and vendors at a logistics and distribution location by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents, access concerns, vehicle traffic issues, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established site protocols.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of the facility, loading areas, trailer yards, parking areas, and perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
• Monitor access points, verify authorized entry as directed by site procedures, and maintain accurate logs and reports of daily activities, incidents, and observations.
• Observe package handling and shipping/receiving areas for unusual activity, report concerns to site leadership and/or Allied Universal supervision, and support a professional environment for operations personnel.

Minimum Requirements:

• Access Control/Badge Experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
