Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking a Part Time Security Officer for Northampton, PA to support badge access control, monitor entry points, and deliver strong customer service to clients across logistics and distribution sites.

The role offers flexible scheduling via the Claim a Shift platform, a starting pay of $18.03 per hour, and opportunities to grow within a caring, collaborative team. You will be part of a dynamic security team with emphasis on integrity and service.

Qualifications

• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients by carrying out access control procedures, site-specific policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities at a logistics and distribution location.
• Monitor and control entry and exit points for employees, visitors, contractors, and delivery personnel; verify credentials and maintain accurate visitor and access records.
• Screen incoming and outgoing vehicles, trailers, and deliveries in accordance with site procedures, reporting irregularities to appropriate site contacts.
• Respond to access-related incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established escalation protocols.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of access points, loading areas, parking areas, and the business perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity.
