What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to visitors, staff, volunteers, and vendors by carrying out site-specific security-related procedures, access-control requirements, and emergency response activities at a cultural institution.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols of galleries, public areas, event spaces, offices, parking areas, and the surrounding perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, medical situations, and critical events in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, coordinating with site leadership and emergency responders as appropriate.
• Monitor access points, screen or verify authorized entry as required, and maintain awareness of visitor activity while supporting a welcoming environment for guests.
• Prepare accurate reports and documentation for incidents, patrols, unusual conditions, and other security-related observations in accordance with Allied Universal and site procedures.

Minimum Requirements:

• Possess at least 1 year of armed security-related, law enforcement, or military experience.
• An armed guard card or license is preferred.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry‑specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
