Job summary

Allied Universal is hiring a Security Officer (Part Time Armed Mobile Security) in Austin, TX to protect clients across multiple industries. You will perform armed patrols, deter theft, and respond to incidents while maintaining a high standard of customer service in a dynamic environment.

• At least 3 years combined law enforcement, corrections, and/or military experience or at least 5 years armed security-related experience.
• Be at least 21 years of age.
• Possess a Level III Armed Certification in Texas only.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to shoppers, employees, vendors, and visitors while carrying out site-specific procedures, policies, and emergency response activities.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout the store, parking areas, loading zones, and perimeter to help deter theft, trespassing, and other unauthorized activity.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following applicable procedures.
• Monitor access points, observe activity for potential security-related concerns, and report incidents or hazards to appropriate personnel.
• Maintain required reports and documentation, and carry authorized equipment in accordance with company policy, site requirements, and applicable law.
