Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and/or vendors at a financial institution by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities.
• Monitor access points, verify visitor credentials, and maintain accurate visitor and incident documentation.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, communicating observations and concerns to appropriate site contacts and emergency responders.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols to identify unusual activity, unauthorized access, and facility concerns.
• Support a professional environment by providing clear directions and assisting with access-related questions.

As a Security Officer Enhanced Part Time Armed Patrol Readiness in New York, NY, this role is designed to provide reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility for you to earn more by picking‑up additional shifts when it works for you.

$27.00 - $28.00 / Hour

How This Role Works

• Fixed-Shift Commitment (“Anchor Shifts”): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.
• Earn More, Claim-A-Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick‑up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part‑time hours this week and full‑time the next. It’s all up to you.

This role is ideal for candidates seeking part‑time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build‑up to a full‑time schedule of up to 40 hours per week; always with the option to scale back when needed.

• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem‑solving manner, communicating observations and concerns to appropriate site contacts and/or emergency responders.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols throughout the business, entry points, and perimeter to help identify unusual activity, unauthorized access, and/or facility concerns.
• Support a professional environment by providing clear directions, assisting with access‑related questions and following established reporting and escalation procedures.

Minimum Requirements

• Have at least one year of security‑related experience.
• Possess an armed guard card or license.
• Possess a law enforcement officer license.
• A guard card or license is preferred.
• Experience with access control and badge systems is preferred.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry‑specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
