Allied Universal in New York, NY is seeking a Security Officer Enhanced Part Time Armed Patrol Readiness to provide reliable, consistent hours and flexible scheduling across sites.

You will join a dynamic team at an industry-leading security and facilities services company, with pay between $27.00 and $28.00 per hour, fixed shifts, and opportunities to pick up extra shifts to increase earnings while building experience.

Qualifications

• At least one year of security-related experience.
• Armed guard card or license required.
• Law enforcement officer license required.
• Guard card or license preferred.
• Experience with access control and badge systems preferred.
• Must be at least 21 years old for armed roles.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Background check will be conducted.
• Drug screen required where permitted by law.
• Participation in security training programs.
• Licensing requirements may apply.
• A valid driver's license required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and vendors at a financial institution by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Monitor access points, verify visitor credentials, and maintain accurate visitor and incident documentation in accordance with site requirements.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, communicating observations and concerns to appropriate site contacts and/or emergency responders.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols throughout the business, entry points, and perimeter to help identify unusual activity, unauthorized access, and/or facility concerns.
• Support a professional environment by providing clear directions, assisting with access-related questions, and following established reporting and escalation procedures.

As a Security Officer Enhanced Part Time Armed Patrol Readiness in New York, NY, this role is designed to provide reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility for you to earn more by picking-up additional shifts when it works for you.

Pay Rate: $27.00 - $28.00 / Hour

Job Schedule:

Fri: 07:00 PM - 07:00 AM

How This Role Works:

• Fixed-Shift Commitment ("Anchor Shifts"): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.
• Earn More, Claim-A-Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick-up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part-time hours this week and full-time the next. It’s all up to you.

This role is ideal for candidates seeking part-time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build-up to a full‑time schedule of up to 40 hours per week; always with the option to scale back when needed.

Minimum Requirements:

• Have at least one year of security-related experience.
• Possess an armed guard card or license.
• Possess a law enforcement officer license.
• A guard card or license is preferred.
• Experience with access control and badge systems is preferred.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry‑specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
