Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and vendors at a financial institution by carrying out security-related procedures and policies.
• Monitor access points, verify authorized entry, and maintain visitor/contractor records per site requirements.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations with calm, proactive problem-solving and escalate as needed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of trading, office, lobby, and perimeter areas to deter unauthorized activity.
• Prepare accurate incident reports and daily logs, communicating with site personnel and leadership.

As a Security Officer Enhanced Part Time Unarmed Patrol Briefing in New York, NY, this role is designed to provide reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility for you to earn more by picking‑up additional shifts when it works for you.

Pay Rate: $17.00 / Hour

Job Schedule:

DayTimeMon07:00 PM - 07:00 AMFri07:00 AM - 07:00 PMSat07:00 PM - 07:00 AM

How This Role Works:

• Fixed-Shift Commitment ("Anchor Shifts"): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.
• Earn More, Claim-A-Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick‑up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part-time hours this week and full-time the next. It’s all up to you.

This role is ideal for candidates seeking part-time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build‑up to a full‑time schedule of up to 40 hours per week; always with the option to scale back when needed.

Responsibilities:

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and vendors at a financial institution by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Monitor access points, verify authorized entry, and maintain visitor and contractor records in accordance with site requirements.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating concerns through established communication channels.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of trading, office, lobby, and perimeter areas to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
• Prepare accurate incident reports, daily activity logs, and other required documentation while communicating professionally with site personnel and Allied Universal leadership.

Minimum Requirements:

• Possess at least 1 year of security-related experience.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• A Guard Card or license is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
