Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and vendors at a technology, media, and telecommunications location.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of the facility, grounds, parking areas, access points, and perimeter.
• Monitor access to designated areas and verify credentials.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations calmly and professionally.
• Communicate clearly with site personnel and follow Allied Universal and client site policies.

As a Security Officer Part Time Alarm Response Driver in Middletown, NY, this role is designed to provide reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility for you to earn more by picking‑up additional shifts when it works for you.

Pay Rate: $19.69 - $20.69 / Hour

Job Schedule: DayTimeMon01:30 PM - 07:30 PMFri07:30 PM - 02:45 AMSat07:30 PM - 02:45 AM

How This Role Works:

• Fixed-Shift Commitment (“Anchor Shifts”): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.
• Earn More, Claim-A-Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick‑up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part‑time hours this week and full‑time the next. It’s all up to you.

This role is ideal for candidates seeking part‑time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build‑up to a full‑time schedule of up to 40 hours per week; always with the option to scale back when needed.

Responsibilities:

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and vendors at a technology, media, and telecommunications location by carrying out security‑related procedures, site‑specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of the facility, grounds, parking areas, access points, and perimeter to help identify and report unusual conditions or unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access to designated areas, verify credentials as directed by site procedures, and maintain visitor and incident documentation.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem‑solving manner; notify appropriate site contacts and emergency services as needed.
• Support a professional environment by communicating clearly with site personnel and following Allied Universal and client site policies.

Minimum Requirements:

• At least 2 years of security‑related experience is required.
• A valid Class B driver’s license with passenger endorsement is required.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• A guard card or license is preferred.
• Alarm panel experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
