Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking a part-time Security Officer Enhanced for Sayville, NY. The role provides fixed shifts with opportunities to pick up extra shifts through the scheduling platform, allowing earnings growth while maintaining part-time hours.

You will perform patrols, monitor access, and respond to incidents, with emphasis on customer service to students, staff and visitors. A valid license and background check are required.

Qualifications

• At least 1 year of security-related experience is required.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen where permitted by law.

As a Security Officer Enhanced Part Time Unarmed Patrol Driver in Sayville, NY, this role is designed to provide reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility for you to earn more by picking-up additional shifts when it works for you.

Pay Rate: $23.12 / Hour

Job Schedule: Thur 03:00 PM - 11:00 PM

How This Role Works:

• Fixed-Shift Commitment (”Anchor Shifts”): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.
• Earn More, Claim-A-Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick-up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part-time hours this week and full-time the next. It’s all up to you.

This role is ideal for candidates seeking part-time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build-up to a full-time schedule of up to 40 hours per week; always with the option to scale back when needed.

Responsibilities:

• Provide customer service to students, staff, visitors, and/or community members by carrying out site-specific procedures, school policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, notifying appropriate school personnel and/or emergency responders as directed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of school buildings, classrooms, hallways, parking areas, athletic facilities, and perimeter areas to help identify and report unusual activity or security-related concerns.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity in accordance with site procedures, helping maintain an orderly learning environment.
• Document patrols, incidents, observations, and security-related activities in accordance with Allied Universal and site reporting requirements.

Minimum Requirements:

• At least 1 year of security-related experience is required.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
