Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking a Security Officer Enhanced Part Time Alarm Response in Taylorsville, MS. This role offers reliable, fixed hours at an assigned site with the option to pick up extra shifts to increase earnings.

Pay rate is $14.00 per hour with a schedule that includes Day Time and overnight shifts. This position emphasizes customer service, patrols, access control, and incident response at an industrial site.

Qualifications

• Have at least six months of security‑related experience.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Loss prevention experience is preferred.
• Experience with alarm panels is preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and drivers by carrying out site‑specific security‑related procedures, policies, and emergency response activities at an industrial manufacturing location.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of manufacturing areas, offices, parking areas, access points, and the facility perimeter, reporting unusual conditions or hazards according to site procedures.
• Monitor access to the location by verifying visitor, contractor, and delivery credentials, maintaining required logs, and directing individuals to appropriate areas.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, medical events, and other critical situations in a calm, problem‑solving manner, notifying appropriate site contacts and emergency responders as needed.
• Document patrol activities, incidents, observations, and security‑related concerns accurately and promptly in accordance with Allied Universal and site requirements.

How This Role Works:

• Fixed-Shift Commitment (“Anchor Shifts”): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.
• Earn More, Claim‑A‑Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick‑up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part-time hours this week and full-time the next. It’s all up to you.

This role is ideal for candidates seeking part‑time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build‑up to a full‑time schedule of up to 40 hours per week; always with the option to scale back when needed.
