Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking a Security Officer Part Time in Kansas City, MO to safeguard clients across industries. You will provide customer service to personnel, visitors and drivers while following site-specific policies and procedures.

You will monitor access, verify IDs, issue visitor credentials, log entries, and direct authorized individuals to the right areas, while patrolling key points and perimeter zones. Flexible shifts available via our shift-claim platform.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to personnel, visitors, and delivery drivers at a food and beverage production location by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Monitor and control access to the facility by verifying identification, issuing visitor credentials, documenting entries and exits, and directing authorized individuals to appropriate areas.
• Screen incoming and outgoing vehicles, deliveries, and shipments in accordance with site procedures, maintaining accurate access and activity logs.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, promptly communicating observations to site contacts and Allied Universal leadership.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of access points, production-area perimeters, parking areas, and other assigned locations to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to personnel, visitors, and delivery drivers at a food and beverage production location by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities.

Minimum Requirements:

• CPR/First Aid certification is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
