Job summary

Allied Universal, a leading security and facility services company, is seeking a Security Officer Part Time - Afternoons in Niles, IL. You will provide customer service, conduct patrols, monitor access points, and respond to incidents at a logistics and distribution site, helping deter unauthorized activity.

Qualifications

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities at a logistics and distribution location.
• Respond to incidents, access concerns, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating issues according to site procedures.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of loading areas, parking areas, employee entrances, business operations, and the perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access points and observe inbound and outbound vehicle and pedestrian activity in accordance with site-specific procedures.
• Document patrols, incidents, and unusual activity through required reports and communicate relevant information to site leadership and/or Allied Universal management.

Pay Rate: $18.75 / Hour

Job Schedule:

• Friday: 02:00 PM - 10:00 PM
• Saturday: 02:00 PM - 10:00 PM
• Sunday: 02:00 PM - 10:00 PM
