Allied Universal in Elmsford, NY is seeking a Security Officer - Part Time Enhanced for Access Systems. This role offers reliable, fixed shifts at a local site and the chance to earn more by picking up additional shifts.

Pay rate is $16.92–$17.92 per hour, with a Monday–Friday schedule (and weekend options). You will monitor access points, verify credentials, respond to incidents, and help keep drivers, visitors, and employees safe.

Qualifications

• Access Control/Badge Experience preferred.
• Loss Prevention preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation and drug screening as required by law.
• Licensing requirements may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to drivers, visitors, and employees by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities at a logistics and distribution location.
• Monitor access points, verify credentials and authorized entry, and document visitor, contractor, and vehicle activity in accordance with site procedures.
• Respond to incidents, access-control concerns, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner; notify appropriate personnel as directed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of access points, loading areas, parking areas, and the business perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity.
• Maintain accurate logs, incident reports, and access-control records while communicating relevant information to Allied Universal leadership and site contacts.

Pay Rate: $16.92 - $17.92 / Hour

Job Schedule:

• Tue 04:00 PM - 08:00 PM

How This Role Works:

• Fixed-Shift Commitment ("Anchor Shifts"): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.
• Earn More, Claim-A-Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick‑up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part‑time hours this week and full‑time the next. It's all up to you.

This role is ideal for candidates seeking part‑time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build‑up to a full‑time schedule of up to 40 hours per week; always with the option to scale back when needed.
