Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking a Security Officer (Part Time Unarmed) in New Bern, NC. You will patrol manufacturing and industrial locations, provide excellent customer service, and maintain a visible security presence to deter incidents.

Qualifications

• A valid driver’s license is required in the state where the job is located.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and/or vendors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, notifying appropriate site contacts and/or emergency responders as directed.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of manufacturing and industrial facilities, production areas, shipping and receiving locations, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help to deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity, verify authorization as directed by site procedures, and maintain accurate activity, incident, and patrol documentation.
• Observe and report potential hazards, equipment concerns, policy violations, and unusual conditions to site leadership in accordance with established procedures.
