Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking a part-time Security Officer Access Management in Whitakers, NC. You will manage access points, verify credentials, and support a welcoming environment for employees and visitors.

The role offers a flexible part-time schedule with day and night shifts and the opportunity to use our Claim a Shift platform to adjust your workload.

Qualifications

• 6+ months security-related experience is preferred.
• CPR and First Aid certification is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and delivery personnel while carrying out site-specific access-control procedures, policies, and emergency response activities.
• Monitor entry and exit points, verify credentials, manage visitor and contractor check-in processes, and maintain accurate access records.
• Control access to manufacturing and industrial areas in accordance with site requirements, escalating access discrepancies and unauthorized-entry concerns to appropriate personnel.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner while following established security-related procedures.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of access points, production-area perimeters, parking areas, and other assigned locations to help identify unusual activity or conditions.

What You’ll Do:

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and delivery personnel while carrying out site-specific access-control procedures, policies, and emergency response activities.

Minimum Requirements:

• At least 6 months of security-related experience is required.
• CPR and First Aid certification is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
