Allied Universal, a leader in security and facility services, is seeking a Security Officer Enhanced Part Time Access Systems Operator in Wilmington, DE. This role offers reliable hours with a flexible schedule and the opportunity to earn more by picking up additional shifts.

Pay rate is $20.00 per hour, with a fixed shift and an Earn More, Claim-A-Shift program. Responsibilities include access control, visitor passes, incident response, and routine patrols to deter unauthorized activity.

Qualifications

• At least 6 months of security-related experience is required.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• A background investigation and drug screen may be required by law.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and drivers by carrying out site-specific security-related procedures, access-control policies, and emergency response activities at a chemical/petrochemical location.
• Monitor and control access to the facility by verifying credentials, issuing visitor and contractor passes, maintaining entry records, and directing authorized personnel to appropriate areas.
• Observe inbound and outbound vehicle traffic, conduct access-control checks and report unauthorized access attempts or unusual activity to appropriate personnel.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, spills, and critical situations following site protocols and communicating with supervisors and emergency responders as needed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of entry points, parking areas, exterior grounds, and designated facility areas to deter unauthorized activity.

As a Security Officer Enhanced Part Time Access Systems Operator in Wilmington, DE, this role is designed to provide reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility for you to earn more by picking‑up additional shifts when it works for you.

How This Role Works:

• Fixed-Shift Commitment (“Anchor Shifts”): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.
• Earn More, Claim‑A‑Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick‑up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part‑time hours this week and full‑time the next. It’s all up to you.

This role is ideal for candidates seeking part‑time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build‑up to a full‑time schedule of up to 40 hours per week; always with the option to scale back when needed.

Minimum Requirements:

• At least 6 months of security‑related experience is required.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
