Job summary

Allied Universal in Sun Valley, CA is seeking a Part-Time Security Officer for Access Control. You will monitor entry points, verify credentials, and provide professional customer service to tenants and visitors.

Qualifications

• At least 1 year of security‑related experience is required.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• CPR certification is preferred.
• Alarm panel experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants may be subject to a background investigation and drug screen.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state/local laws and may be required.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to tenants, visitors, vendors, and/or employees at a commercial real estate location by carrying out site‑specific access‑control procedures and security‑related policies.
• Monitor access points, verify credentials and visitor authorization, maintain visitor logs, and direct authorized individuals to appropriate areas.
• Respond to access‑control concerns, incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem‑solving manner, following site procedures and notifying appropriate personnel.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of building entrances, common areas, parking facilities, and perimeter areas to help deter unauthorized access and identify security‑related concerns.
• Document daily activities, incidents, and access‑control exceptions accurately, and communicate relevant information to site management and Allied Universal leadership.

Pay Rate: $20.90 / Hour

Job Schedule:

• Mon: 03:00 PM - 11:30 PM
• Tue: 03:00 PM - 11:30 PM

What You’ll Do:

Minimum Requirements:

• At least 1 year of security‑related experience is required.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• CPR certification is preferred.
• Alarm panel experience is preferred.
• Ability to lift more than 20 pounds is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
