Allied Universal, North America's leading security and facility services company, is seeking a Part Time Security Officer for Access Control in Mechanicsburg, PA. You will manage entry points, verify credentials, monitor activity, and help maintain a welcoming, orderly environment at a food and beverage production location.

This role offers weekend evening shifts (Sat 2-10 PM, Sun 2-10 PM), a flexible schedule, and opportunities to learn our shift-claiming platform.

Qualifications

• Be at least 18 years old for unarmed roles; 21+ years for armed roles.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Background investigation required by federal, state and local laws.
• Drug screen required where permitted by law.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients, employees, visitors, and contractors while carrying out security-related procedures and site policies.
• Control access to the facility by verifying credentials and directing authorized individuals.
• Monitor alarms, cameras, and other site systems; report unusual activity per site procedures.
• Respond calmly to incidents, coordinate with site contacts and emergency responders as needed.
• Conduct regular patrols of entry points, perimeters, parking areas and grounds to deter unauthorized access.

Pay Rate: $18.95 / Hour

Job Schedule

• Sat 02:00 PM - 10:00 PM
• Sun 02:00 PM - 10:00 PM

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to clients, employees, visitors, and/or contractors while carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities at a food and beverage production location.
• Control access to the facility by verifying credentials, maintaining visitor and contractor entry records, and directing authorized individuals to appropriate locations.
• Monitor access points, alarms, cameras, and other site systems; report unusual activity, access concerns, and facility issues according to site procedures.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, coordinating with site contacts and emergency responders as needed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of entry points, production-area perimeters, parking areas, and exterior grounds to help deter unauthorized access and identify potential concerns.

Minimum Requirements:

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
