Job summary

Allied Universal in South Hackensack, NJ is seeking a Security Officer Part Time Access Control Coordinator to manage entry points, verify credentials, issue badges, and monitor access at a logistics and distribution site. Responsibilities

DayTimeFri04:00 PM - 12:00 AMSat08:00 AM - 04:00 PM

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to employees, drivers, visitors, and delivery personnel by carrying out access-control procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a logistics and distribution location.
• Monitor entry and exit points, verify authorized access credentials, maintain visitor and driver logs, and direct individuals to appropriate check-in or staging areas.
• Respond to access-related incidents, unauthorized-entry concerns, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established site procedures.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of entry points, parking areas, trailer yards, loading docks, and the business perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
• Document incidents, observations, and daily activities in accordance with Allied Universal and site reporting requirements.

Minimum Requirements:

• Have at least two years of security-related experience.
• A guard card or license is preferred.
• Experience with access control and badge systems is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
