Allied Universal in Jackson, GA is seeking a Part Time Security Officer focused on access control to safeguard patients, staff and visitors across healthcare facilities. You will perform unarmed patrols, monitor entrances, and maintain a professional presence while following site procedures.

This role offers flexible daytime shifts, a pay rate of $18.00 per hour, and opportunities for training and growth within a nationwide security team.

Qualifications

• At least 6 months of security-related experience.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to patients, visitors, staff, and/or vendors while carrying out site-specific security-related procedures, policies, and emergency response activities.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of healthcare facility buildings, parking areas, entrances, and perimeter locations to help identify and report unusual activity, hazards, or access concerns.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established site procedures and notifying appropriate personnel.
• Monitor access points and assist with visitor direction, employee access, and delivery coordination in accordance with site requirements.
• Prepare accurate reports and maintain awareness of patient privacy and confidentiality requirements while performing assigned duties.

What You'll Do

Minimum Requirements

• Possess at least 6 months of security-related experience.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
