Shriners Children’s Hospital is seeking a dedicated Security Officer to safeguard patients, staff and visitors at the front lobby and surrounding areas. You will greet guests, handle calls, and respond to security needs in a professional manner.

Qualifications

• Must hold a Consumer Affairs Security Officers License.
• Must have a valid State driver’s license.
• Preferred: Security or law enforcement experience in a hospital setting.

To protect the organizations' property and buildings. To greet and assists visitors, patients, employees and medical staff at the front lobby desk in a pleasant and professional manner. Answering telephone calls received, routing the calls, paging and taking messages. Answering phone calls from hospital staff members and responding to their needs or requests in a respectful and timely manner. Key Responsibilities: Performs a variety of functions related to the safety and security of hospital staff, patients, families, visitors and general public in accordance with city, state and federal laws and regulations. Consistently maintains excellent customer service and guest relations skills and abilities Exercises responsibility in responding to security needs of hospital visitors, patients and staff, as well as greeting and assisting all personnel at the front lobby. Compensation is determined based on years of relevant experience and departmental equity.
