This position is responsible for performing duties to ensure the safety and security of guests and employees, protect Holiday Inn Club Vacations, and maximize safety and security, while serving as a deterrent to crime and violations of company policy. Security Officers serve as first responders to any guest or employee injury or accident and play an integral role in curtailing workplace injuries. This high guest contact position requires an approachable, friendly, and polished demeanor with a guest-focused mindset.

MUST BE AVAILABLE TO WORK 2nd SHIFT!!

Essential Duties And Tasks

1. Greet guests warmly, offer advice and guidance regarding the resort. Document all visitors entering the property. Ensure visitors or guests receive directions to their destinations.
2. Act as first responder to all visitors, guests, and employee accidents on the property. Administer first aid, contact emergency services if required. Secure First Report of Injury for employee injuries and assist with drug and alcohol testing when appropriate.
3. Patrol the resort to ensure safety and security of guests, employees, and assets. Take immediate steps to correct safety hazards and cleanliness issues, responding to hazards as outlined in emergency response procedures.
4. Identify and engage suspicious persons who may disrupt resort operations while limiting liability.
5. Dispatch calls accordingly.

Education and/or Experience

• Strong customer service background.
• Two years of hotel or retail experience with high customer contact preferred.

Certificates, Licenses, Registrations

• Valid driver’s license.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old with a valid driver’s license and at least 1 year of driving experience.
• Meet company motor vehicle policy standards.
• Guest-focused attitude.
• Familiarity with resort layout, activities, fire, and emergency procedures.
• Good verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work under pressure.
• Initiative to maintain standards.
• Good judgment and problem-solving skills.
• Knowledge of safety protocols.
