Description

Join our great team of Security Officers at Covenant Village retirement community. We have a part-time position available to cover weekends, Saturday and Sunday, 2nd shift 2:45 pm to 11:15 pm (16 hours per week). We offer a shift differential premium for 2nd and 3rd shifts. Our Security Team provides a secure and safe environment for all Residents, Employees, and guests of Covenant Village. The main responsibilities include:

1. Maintains a friendly, efficient, and service-oriented attitude towards Residents, Employees, and guests.
2. Patrols and secures the entire building and property on a non-routine basis.
3. Investigates and reports any suspicious people or activity.
4. Completes Daily Report, Case Report, and/or Incident Report.
5. Works with local police when needed and directed by the Director of Security.
6. Fills in for the Medical Transportation Driver when needed.
7. Follows all Emergency Procedures.
8. Adheres to all Covenant Village policies and procedures and maintains the Mission Statement and CV CARES Core Values of Covenant Village.
9. Comes to work as scheduled and consistently demonstrates dependability and punctuality.
10. Performs all other duties as assigned by management.

Qualifications

High School Diploma/GED is required. Two years of experience in Security or Law Enforcement is preferred. Must be 21 years or older with a valid driver’s license and a good driving record.

The Security Officer must be able to read and write, see regular print (with or without corrective lenses), and have the physical ability to finger and grasp small objects, as well as balance, climb, crouch, pull, push, reach, stand, and stoop. Must be able to lift 50-75 pounds. This position involves exposure to inside and outside environmental conditions, including chemical hazards. Adequate safety training and equipment will be provided.
