Job summary

Silverton Casino LLC seeks a full-time Security Officer to patrol casino property, deter crime, respond to emergencies and ensure guest and employee safety. On-site role requiring vigilant observation and thorough reporting.

The officer will patrol lobbies, public areas, and ward off disturbances while maintaining logs, escorting transactions, and assisting guests as needed. Nevada Gaming Control Board registration and US work authorization are required.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 21 years old.
• Minimum six months of prior Security Officer experience preferred.
• Demonstrated security and/or law-enforcement ability and incident investigation skills.
• Strong customer relations and communication skills; ability to write clearly and coherently.
• Must have or be able to obtain Nevada Gaming Control Board Gaming Registration.
• Valid Nevada Driver's License and Alcohol Awareness Card.

Responsibilities

• Patrol casino property including lobbies, corridors and public rooms to deter crime and respond to disturbances.
• Investigate complaints, thefts, vandalism and accidents; write detailed incident reports.
• Escort high-value transactions and maintain security of house monies.
• Maintain security logbooks and document all incidents on shift.
• Assist guests and Team Members; provide information and directions as needed.
• Maintain communication with managers and surveillance; report emergencies promptly.

General Summary of Job DutiesThis is a full-time on-site role for a Security Officer. The Security Officer will be responsible for patrolling and monitoring casino property, deterring criminal activity, responding to emergencies, and ensuring the safety and security of guests and employees.Principle Responsibilities and DutiesMaintain a high quality of guest service according to Silverton Values.Check for proper identification of a guest appearing to be under the age of 35 years old.Thorough knowledge of applicable Company and departmental policies and procedures as well as the willingness to learn and follow any policy or procedure that may be introduced in the future.Patrols lobbies, corridors, and public rooms, confers with management, interviews guests and Team Members, and interrogates persons to detect infringements and investigate disturbances, complaints, thefts, vandalisms, and accidents.Patrols public areas to detect fires, unsafe conditions, and missing or inoperative safety equipment.Warns or ejects troublemakers, and cautions careless persons.Obtains assistance for accident victims and writes accident reports.Notifies staff of presence of persons with questionable reputations.Assists management and enforcement officers in emergency situations.Patrol and observe Team Member service areas, grounds and public areas.Safe and secure transportation of house monies between points on property.Writing of detailed reports regarding all incidents concerning matters affecting the company, Guest or Team Members.Assistance to Guests as needed for information, etc.Report unusual occurrences to the shift supervisor or manager.Provides escort for slot and table games transactions.Acquire the knowledge of procedures regarding all warning devices to include but not limited to fire, haz-mat and panic alarms.Provides independent departmental participation in procedures and transactions effecting the casino and hotel related departments.Maintain security logbook and records, as required.Responsible for all found property turned into the officer until such property is secured by shift supervisor.Responsible for all keys and key log maintained at security desk.Responsible for notifying of all incidents that occurred on assigned shift are reported to the shift supervisor regardless of perceived importance.Attentive to the radio and be alert for any emergency situation.Maintain an open line of communication with Managers and Surveillance department.Other duties as assigned.In extreme emergencies, must be able to “Fireman Carry” full sized adult.May encounter a disruptive guest which could result in a physical confrontation where the officer is expected to subdue/detain the individualGeneral Job Responsibilities and Duties:Maintain a high quality of guest service according to Silverton Be Amazing Service Standards.Thorough knowledge of applicable Company and departmental policies and procedures as well as the willingness to learn and follow any policy or procedure that may be introduced in the future.Adhere to all appearance and uniform standards.Maintain an open line of communication with Managers.Maintain a positive and professional demeanor during all interactions with guests, fellow Team Members, and Vendors.Ability to accept performance feedback in a professional manner.Regular attendance on all scheduled shifts is considered an essential function of the job.Arriving on time for all scheduled shifts is considered an essential function of the job.Other duties as assigned.To perform the job successfully, an individual should demonstrate the following Silverton Values:Character: Always do the right thing and treat everyone with dignity and respect.Collaboration: Celebrate Diverse ideas, thought and talents.Care: Be KIND to yourself and each other.Fun: Our guests are here to have FUN, so we should have FUN, too!Excellence: Be Amazing!Skills, Education and Other RequirementsMust be at least 21 years of age.A minimum of six (6) months prior Security Officer experience is preferred.Demonstrated Security and/or Law Enforcement ability as well as incident investigation skills.Demonstrated record of customer relation’s skills.The necessity to write legibly and coherently is required.a.
