Job summary

Securitas USA in Minden, NV is seeking a part-time Security Officer to help protect client premises, deter incidents, and provide professional customer service. The role includes patrols, post order adherence, incident reporting, and responding calmly to emergencies.

Weekend graveyard shift Fri–Sun with a wage of $18.00 per hour. Former military or law enforcement are encouraged to apply; strong communication, tech aptitude, and independent work are valued.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 18 years of age or older.
• Excellent customer service and teamwork skills.
• Ability to respond calmly in stressful situations.

Responsibilities

• Conflict resolution and de-escalation.
• Frequent interactions with client employees and guests.
• Identify and report safety issues or suspicious activity.
• Follow post orders and complete assigned rounds.
• Provide customer service and information to employees and guests.
• Utilize technology devices during shift.
• Conduct property tours and patrol entrances and interiors.
• Prepare detailed written witness reports.
• Carry out tasks of similar scope as required for site.

What You Can Expect:

• Conflict resolution and de-escalation.
• Frequent interactions with client employees and guests.

• Ensure that all post orders are followed and assigned rounds are completed.
• Provide customer service and information to the client's employees and guests.
• Utilizing technology devices throughout shift.
• Conduct tours of the property.
• Secure entrances / patrol inside and outside the client's premises.
• Provide detailed written witness reports.
• Carry out specific tasks and duties of similar nature and scope as required for assigned site.

Basic Requirements:

• 18 years of age or older.
• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Above average computer / technology skills needed.
• Security, Law Enforcement, or Military experience a plus.
• Excellent customer service and team leadership skills needed.
• Must be able to work independently.
• Must be able to remain calm and professional during stressful situations.
• Must have great attention to detail and remain vigilant throughout shift.
• Must have a professional demeanor.
• Must be able to respond to emergencies with rapid / effective judgment and use appropriate escalation.
• All candidates must be willing to participate in the Company's pre-employment screening process, including drug screen and background investigation.
• Valid Driver's License required for some locations.
• Must be able to conduct patrols throughout shift.
