Job summary

Securitas USA is hiring for a Security Officer in Reno, NV. Open interviews are held weekly with multiple shifts and both full-time and part-time options. The role emphasizes customer service, safety monitoring, and quick, professional responses to incidents.

You will work on a client site, perform patrols, report writing, and use technology devices to maintain security and safety. Prior security or military experience is a plus, and all candidates undergo screening.

Qualifications

• 18 years of age or older.
• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Above average computer / technology skills needed.
• Security, Law Enforcement, or Military experience a plus.
• Excellent customer service and team leadership skills needed.
• Must be able to work independently.
• Must be able to remain calm and professional during stressful situations.
• Must have great attention to detail and remain vigilant throughout shift.
• Must have a professional demeanor.
• Must be able to respond to emergencies with rapid / effective judgment and use appropriate escalation.
• All candidates must be willing to participate in the Company's pre-employment screening process, including drug screen and background investigation.

Responsibilities

• Conflict resolution and de-escalation.
• Frequent interactions with client employees and guests.
• Identify and report safety issues, hazardous conditions, or any suspicious activity.
• Ensure that all post orders are followed and assigned rounds are completed.
• Provide customer service and information to the client's employees and guests.
• Utilizing technology devices throughout shift.
• Conduct tours of the property.
• Conduct patrols inside / outside the client's premises, potentially in various weather conditions and in different types of terrain.
• Report writing.
• Work in a team environment to ensure site / organizational goals are achieved daily.
• Carry out specific tasks and duties of similar nature and scope as required for assigned site.
