Allied Universal is seeking a Security Officer Enhanced Part Time X Ray Screening in Indianapolis, IN. This role offers flexible, anchor shifts with the option to pick up additional shifts through the scheduling platform.

Pay rate is $17.22 per hour. Duties include screening personnel and items, operating equipment, providing exceptional customer service, and responding to incidents with calm, professional judgment.

Qualifications

• Experience in loss prevention and customer service is preferred.
• Access control and badge handling experience is preferred.
• X-ray screening experience is preferred.
• Ability to lift more than 20 lbs is preferred.
• Must be at least 18 years old for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• Background check and drug screen may be required; licensing may be required.
• Driver's license required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients, visitors, drivers, and employees by carrying out site-specific screening procedures, policies, and emergency responses as appropriate.
• Screen personnel, visitors, and items entering designated areas in accordance with site procedures, documenting irregularities.
• Operate screening equipment and perform visual inspections as assigned, following procedures for prohibited or suspicious items.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations calmly, notifying appropriate site contacts and responders.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of screening areas, loading zones, access points, and the surrounding perimeter.

As a Security Officer Enhanced Part Time X Ray Screening in Indianapolis, IN, this role is designed to provide reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility for you to earn more by picking‑up additional shifts when it works for you.

Pay Rate: $17.22 / Hour

Job Schedule:

DayTimeSun02:00 PM - 10:00 PM

How This Role Works:

• Fixed-Shift Commitment (“Anchor Shifts”): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.
• Earn More, Claim-A-Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick‑up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part‑time hours this week and full‑time the next. It’s all up to you.

This role is ideal for candidates seeking part‑time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build‑up to a full‑time schedule of up to 40 hours per week; always with the option to scale back when needed.

Responsibilities:

• Provide customer service to clients, visitors, drivers, and employees by carrying out site‑specific screening procedures, policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
• Screen personnel, visitors, and/or items entering designated logistics and distribution areas in accordance with site procedures, documenting and reporting irregularities.
• Operate screening equipment and perform visual inspections as assigned, following established procedures for prohibited, restricted, or suspicious items.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem‑solving manner, promptly notifying appropriate site contacts and/or emergency responders.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of screening areas, loading zones, access points, and the surrounding perimeter; working environments and conditions may vary by location.

Minimum Requirements:

• Loss Prevention experience is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• X-Ray screening experience is preferred.
• Ability to lift more than 20 lbs is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
