Allied Universal, North America’s leading security and facility services company, is seeking a Part Time Unarmed Patrol Officer near Holmdel, NJ. You will conduct routine campus patrols, monitor access points, and provide courteous customer service to students, staff, and visitors.

The role offers flexible scheduling (Mon and Fri shifts), a pay rate of $25.50 per hour, and opportunities to learn multiple shifts through the Claim a Shift platform.

Qualifications

• Two years of security‑related experience.
• New Jersey RPO Certificate required.
• Must be at least 18 years old for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Background check required by law.
• Drug screen required by law.
• Licensing requirements may apply.
• Driver's license required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to students, faculty, staff, visitors, and families while following site procedures and emergency response activities.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of campus buildings, grounds, parking areas, entrances, and perimeter areas.
• Monitor access points and support visitor management procedures.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, medical events, and critical situations calmly and following reporting procedures.
• Prepare accurate incident reports and logs, and communicate observations to Allied Universal leadership.

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to students, faculty, staff, visitors, and families while carrying out site‑specific security‑related procedures, policies, and emergency response activities.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of campus buildings, grounds, parking areas, entrances, and perimeter areas to help identify and report unusual activity, hazards, or policy concerns.
• Monitor access points and support visitor management procedures in accordance with location policies.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, medical events, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem‑solving manner, following established reporting and notification procedures.
• Prepare accurate incident reports, maintain required activity logs, and communicate observations to Allied Universal leadership and location representatives.

Minimum Requirements:

• Possess at least two years of security‑related experience.
• Possess a New Jersey RPO Certificate.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
