Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking a Security Officer Part Time Unarmed Routine Patrol in Jersey City, NJ. You will serve clients at a financial institution, provide customer service, perform routine patrols, monitor access points, and respond to incidents.

This role offers weekend shifts on Saturdays and Sundays with pay at $18.50 per hour. A minimum of two years' security experience and a high school diploma are required or preferred; licenses and CPR/First Aid certification are a plus.

Qualifications

• State/county/city security license preferred.
• CPR/First Aid certification preferred.

• Background check and drug screen required by law.

• Sat: 07:00 AM - 03:00 PM
• Sun: 07:00 AM - 03:00 PM

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and/or contractors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a financial institution location.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, access-related concerns, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established site procedures.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of interior areas, exterior grounds, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help identify and report unusual conditions or unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity, assist with credential and entry procedures, and report access-related concerns to appropriate personnel.
• Prepare clear and accurate reports of incidents, observations, and activities in accordance with site requirements and Allied Universal procedures.

Minimum Requirements:

• Have at least 2 years of security-related experience.
• A state, county, or city-issued security license is preferred.
• CPR/First Aid certification is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
