GardaWorld Security Services is hiring a Surveillance Security Officer. The role focuses on spotting threats through multiple screens with sharp observation and attention to detail.

Responsibilities include patrolling, access control, alarm and CCTV monitoring, and coordinating with law enforcement as needed. Shifts include mornings, evenings, overnights, and weekends; benefits and uniform are provided.

Responsibilities

• Patrol sensitive areas to spot suspicious activity.

• Check alarms and cameras for proper function.
• Collaborate with law enforcement during serious incidents.
• Gatehouse/Access control - manage entry/exit logs.
• Loading dock and asset monitoring for secure handling of equipment.
• Perimeter and exterior patrols around premises.
• Monitor CCTV, alarms, and fire/motion sensors from security desk.
• Perform internal sweeps to ensure doors and cages remain locked.

What matters most about a role like this is your sharp eye, capturing every detail as you scan a series of screens. Tell us about your strong observation skills with attention to detail.

As a Security Officer - Surveillance, you will be the person spotting threats before they elevate in environments such as a security operations centers, call centers, parking gatehouses, etc.

• Candidate must have the ability to walk and stand for 8+ hours. Candidate must have the ability to work mornings, evenings, and or overnights. Weekends are required. Candidate must be flexible to fill in shifts when needed. To fill in as needed as part time officer. Looking for personnel with open availability schedule in order to cover shifts. Not guaranteed full time hours.
• Competitive hourly wage starting at $24.00/ Hr (DailyPay is available for GardaWorld employees!)

Responsibilities of Surveillance Security Guard

• Patrol sensitive areas to spot any suspicious activity
• Verify identities and control access to secure areas
• React quickly to threats or incidents
• Check the proper functioning of alarms and cameras
• Document incidents and actions taken
• Respond to alarms and conduct on-site checks
• Collaborate with law enforcement during serious incidents
• Ensure the safety and protection of individuals and property
• Gatehouse and Access Control: Validate identification for all incoming personnel, employees, and visitors, and strictly manage the entry and exit logs of all transport vehicles at the perimeter gates.
• Loading Dock and Asset Monitoring: Oversee the active loading docks to ensure high-value IT equipment and data assets are securely loaded or unloaded without unauthorized access or tampering.
• Perimeter and Exterior Patrols: Conduct regular foot or vehicle patrols around the lot, including the trailer parking zones, employee parking lots, and exterior fence lines to deter trespassing.
• CCTV and Alarm Monitoring: Continuously monitor interior and exterior surveillance cameras, fire systems, and motion sensors from a central security desk to rapidly detect and respond to breaches.
• Asset Protection Audits: Perform internal sweeps of the warehouse to ensure that sensitive data storage cages, high-security zones, and facility doors remain locked and compliant with strict data protection protocols.

Qualifications of Surveillance Security Guard

• You have a high school education or equivalent (GED)
• You're able to ace (and pass) an extensive screening process
• You have Security, Military, and/or Law Enforcement experience of at least 2 years or more
• You have an active Virginia DCJS security license
• You are at least 21 years of age or older as required by applicable law or contractual requirements
• Must have experience utilizing Microsoft applications or Google applications, and Security Systems. Must have experience with Incident/ DAR reports
