Job summary

GardaWorld Security is hiring a Surveillance Security Officer in Washington, DC. You will monitor multiple screens, identify threats, and respond quickly to incidents to protect people and property.

The role requires a high school diploma or GED, an active DC security license, and 2+ years in security or related fields. You will work flexible schedules, weekends, and may cover two DC sites. GardaWorld offers benefits and career growth.

What matters most about a role like this is your sharp eye, capturing every detail as you scan a series of screens. Tell us about your strong observation skills with attention to detail.

As a Security Officer – Surveillance, you will be the person spotting threats before they elevate in environments such as a security operations centers, call centers, parking gatehouses, etc.

• Scheduling will be based on site needs. Scheduling will vary so the ideal new hire should have open flexibility to take any schedule. Weekends are required. Must be available to take shifts in short notice (4 hours notice). Full time hours are not guaranteed. May need to cover two site locations in DC.
• Competitive hourly wage starting at $26.00/ Hr (DailyPay is available for GardaWorld employees!)

Qualifications of Surveillance Security Guard

• You have a high school education or equivalent (GED)
• You’re able to ace (and pass) an extensive screening process
• You have Security, Military, and/or Law Enforcement experience of at least 2 years or more
• You have an active DC security license
• You are at least 21 years of age or older as required by applicable law or contractual requirements
• Must have experience utilizing Microsoft applications or Google applications, and Security Systems. Must have experience with Incident/ DAR reports
