GardaWorld Security Services is seeking a Surveillance Security Officer in the Ashburn, VA area. The role focuses on monitoring screens, spotting threats, and maintaining vigilance across security operations environments.

You will verify identities, manage access, and respond to incidents with a calm, detail-driven approach. The ideal candidate has at least 2 years in security, an active Virginia DCJS license, and proficiency with Microsoft apps and security systems.

Qualifications

• High school education or equivalent (GED).
• Able to pass extensive screening.
• Security, Military, and/or Law Enforcement experience of 2+ years.
• Active Virginia DCJS security license.
• Age 21+ as required by law or contract.
• Experience with Microsoft/Google apps and security systems; incident/DAR reports.

Responsibilities

• Patrol sensitive areas to spot suspicious activity.
• Verify identities and control access to secure areas.
• React quickly to threats or incidents.
• Check alarms and cameras for proper function.

Ready to suit up as a Surveillance Security Guard?

What matters most about a role like this is your sharp eye, capturing every detail as you scan a series of screens. Tell us about your strong observation skills with attention to detail.

As a Security Officer - Surveillance, you will be the person spotting threats before they escalate in environments such as a security operations centers, call centers, parking gatehouses, etc.

• Candidate must have the ability to walk and stand for 8+ hours. Candidate must have the ability to work weekends and overnights as well as other shifts if needed. Overnights shifts are 10pm to 6am. Holidays may be needed to work. Days on/ off will vary based on site needs. Not guaranteed full time hours.
• Competitive hourly wage starting at $22.40/ Hr (DailyPay is available for GardaWorld employees!)

Qualifications of Surveillance Security Guard

• You have a high school education or equivalent (GED)
• You're able to ace (and pass) an extensive screening process
• You have Security, Military, and/or Law Enforcement experience of at least 2 years or more
• You have an active Virginia DCJS security license
• You are at least 21 years of age or older as required by applicable law or contractual requirements
• Must have experience utilizing Microsoft applications or Google applications, and Security Systems. Must have experience with Incident/ DAR reports
